Happy fall!

As I sit here writing this blog post, the trees outside my window have already begun to slowly change colors with the season. Although it has continued to be sunny and warm during the day, the past few nights have been chilly. Fall is in in the air!

With the changing of the seasons, we’re approaching my favorite local annual book fair: The Florence Festival of Books.

Saturday, September 29th, 2018 from 10 am – 4 pm

This year, the book fair will be held on Saturday, September 29th from 10 am until 4 pm at the Florence Events Center (715 Quince Street, Florence, Oregon). Every year, the event grows. If I remember right, there were around 60 aIMG_1681uthors at last years’ event plus a half dozen publishers.

I’m proud to be able to say that I have attended every annual Florence Festival of Books. The event is a lot of fun, and it’s a great way to meet and chat with fellow west coast authors.

I like to have freebies to hand out at my booth. This year I’ll have the postcards advertising my two Arcadia Publishing history books. I also hired a fellow Etsy shop owner to custom make pins with covers of my books to hand out. They did a great job (www.etsy.com/shop/Photos2Gifts).

I’m looking forward to this year’s book festival. Please, feel free to stop by my booth to say hello and pick up a free book pin!
